Macbook case or sleeve

I am purchasing my macbook pro 13" next week and when I go in I was also going to get some form of protection. I am currently thinking about just a sleeve. Now I don't know much about mac so this is why I ask here. I'm wanting the macbook to stay lightweight but also want it to stay protected. Am I better off getting a shell to protect my macbook pro. I've looked at shells and from what I can see the tech 21 are the best but they are $50 more. get a case... i found one for like 20 dollars on amazon and it does what it supposed to do .

Both can be found new for fairly cheap on eBay. Do keep in mind the difference between a case and sleeve. A sleeve will thoroughly protect the laptop while you're carrying it but not at all while you're using it, and a case will provide some protection all the time while adding a little bit of thickness to it.
