So I got a Macbook C2D 2.1ghz, 1gb ram.. The issue with the macbook is it wont charge a batter but neigher will it run off the charger.. So basically only time the macbook can be used is when the battery has charge in it..

I tried replacing the DC in board, battery connector.. SMC reset. No luck so that leaves the logic board.

My question is there some sort of solution perhaps that others have found that could make this macbook still useable? Like having some sort of external charger plugged into the battery while using it to keep the battery always topped off?? As the macbook will run fine as long as the battery has charge.

Please anyone have any ideas? Otherwise I dont know what to really do with this mac as a logic board is a bit too $$.

Thanks!

You can spring for this:

http://www.amazon.com/External-Batt...UHY0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1288008830&sr=8-3

This device connects directly to the battery's leads and charges it that way. Although it's not the most convenient (since you have to remove your battery from the laptop every time you want to recharge it), it's much cheaper than replacing the logic board. Think of it as a stop-gap solution to the problem until you can afford a new MB.

Thanks for the advice but yah I sold the macbook yesterday. Didn't want to hassle with this.
