Maybe looking for a laptop for the daughter for college, In the UK refurb store currently there is some MacBook Air 13" version, can someone help with the spec etc, as they both look spec wise identical, one says "Originally released March 2015" the other "Originally released April 2016, with one £629 and £719.The only difference I can see is one has 4gb, the other 8Gb.

One released in 2015, the other 2016, what is the physical difference if any? which is better buy? I know you can't upgrade the memory RAM, but is it worth £90 more?

thanks

Exactly the same, no differences, the CPU is the same and everything, but poor that isn't it, no update at all apart from a (welcome) RAM boost...

Correct; machines are identical except that 8GB RAM is standard.

what really gets up my nose is that you can't add RAM to it yourself in the future....

Seems like a reasonable trade-off when you get a machine that is so thin and light yet still very powerful and reasonably priced. If upgradeability is an important factor for you, then the MBA is probably not the right computer. :)

Sorry, I am not in the business of selling computers. :) I guess Apple would say to get a MacBook Pro.

Need I state the obvious? None of Apple's laptops would work if upgrading is a priority.
