Not very likely. That's the chief difference between their consumer and their pro model; they're not going to remove it.

Also allows for a smaller footprint by eliminating a major chips and support circuitry.
And as O. Frabjous-Dey says, ain't no point in having a MacBook if it is just a MacBook Pro in a plastic case.
Plus it is the entry level machine, and the machine Apple will foist off on the education market.
Making it more expensive, isn't a good idea for that marketshare since Apple is likely using a more expensive platform than Dell's education special.
If anything, Apple may slot in a cheaper machine under the MacBook rather than shoving more expensive parts into it.
My only concern is i can get an alien ware equivalent for the same price with a 17" screen and a dedicated gfx card, playing games isnt the reason that i want a laptop but it would be nice to know that if i want to that my £1000 laptop can. I think im going to have a hard time choosing between a MacBook and an Alien Ware laptop =/

The major difference between the MacBook Pro and MacBook, aside from the screen size, is the graphics capibility. If you place a dedicated graphics card in the MacBook Pro, it would take away major market share from the MacBook Pro.
Apple, like any other company, wants to make as much money as possible. Upselling people because they want the dedicated graphics card is something Apple (I believe) has conciously done.

Then why did the iBook G4 have a dedicated graphics card? 🙄 I don't think iBook G4 sales had any effect on PowerBook G4 sales. People had a choice between an iBook G4 or PowerBook G4 which both had dedicated graphic cards. If they wanted a better graphics card, they chose the PowerBook G4. Then why now do people have to pay so much more to get a mac laptop with dedicated graphics. That doesn't make that much sense. Apple could of easily putted a dedicated graphics card in the MacBook without too much of an effect on MacBook Pro sales.
Did any of the "G" computers have integrated graphics? (im really not sure but I dont remember there being any) Also the point is with the intel move its just cheeper (and imo makes sence) for apple to throw in integrated graphics in its lower end stuff macbook/macmini etc. Its all about the bottom line 😉
