They've dropped the 1.83 MacBook Pro too.

Will they offer a refund for all the people who got a 1.83 for the same price you can get a 2.0 now?????

How much do you want black?

The White 2.0GHz is €1319 and you can upgrade the HD from 60G to 80G for €50.

The Black 2.0GHz is €1519 - does that mean you're effectively paying €150 for the black case??

Does the Black version have other upgrades?

Has anyone noticed that a glossy screen is now an option on the MBP? Can't remember if that was there before.

Why pay $200 more for 20gb and black

The new black macbook starts at 1499 while best white is 1299, only difference aside from color is 60gb vs 80gb. I can't imagine that it is worth it what do others think? I love the black macbook pro though, but won't pay more for it

I am not complaining, only wondering... Have they fixed the issue of scuffs and scratches with these. I want the black, I just don't want it looking like crap in a week.

hmm, you're right. Sweet, glossy screens are great IMO.

The only thing that worries me about the macbook is the material its made of, and whether it's gonna be scratch-o-rama

Glossy screens..... damn. Glossy screens suck big ones.

But, I still want one. Maybe the 2.0GHz white model will show less glare on the screen than the black.

I dunno.

Apple Care? Or not.

About to purchase..but am wondering, is Apple Care really worth it? I have the plan for my iMac Intel. Didn't want to spend too much on my portable - it's mostly for school. Any advice? Thanks!

Don't buy it at first, you can buy it any time within your first year. That way you can decide later!

Desktop mirroring?

If it can do desktop/video mirroring, can I take it that it will do so while closed? (Am I right in thinking that the iBook couldn't?)

Thanks! I didn't know I had a year. Off to buy... a white one! Screw the extra $ for the black one. Plus, my iMac is white and I like to color coordinate..
