MacBook: Disabling Messages in iCloud for all Devices doesn't affect iPhone logged on the same iCloud ID

Turning off Messages in iCloud on MacBook for all devices does not disable Messages in iCloud on iPhone.
On macBook Messages app > Settings > iMessage > Turn Off Messages in iCloud for All Devices.
It is expected that the toggle button for Messages in iCloud on the iPhone should get disabled.
But there is no effect on the toggle button showing in iOS Settings > iCloud > Messages > "Use on this iPhone".
Any one else has explanation for this unexpected behavior.
