Maybe you should point the manager in the direction of this page on the Apple site:

"About white MacBooks' palmrest area
If your MacBook is exhibiting discoloration on the top case after some use, please contact AppleCare for service."

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304058

I am going to try to do this today. It's such a hassle, you know? I try to be a good customer, but this is just unacceptable.

At this rate, the staining is the same as before. I'll take pics later and post 'em up here. This is so irritating. =\

Wait, should I just avoid going to the Apple Store manager.. since he'll probably roll his eyes and tell me to call AppleCare like the site says?

so you just kept it with the staining? has it gotten worse with time?

i have a feeling i might end up keeping it as-is, but i feel it's worth the trip to see what they say

Well, I've unsuccessfully tried to live with it, but I can't stand to look at it. We've only had 3 weeks together! This has to be resolved.

well i got mine back with a new top case :) everything looks good so far. the keys are kinda sticky right now though. they left a clear sheet of plastic below the keyboard....and i think i might just leave it there for awhile

Congrats! I've yet to take mine in. I think I might do that today. I hope all works well with yours!
