MacBook display

Um, I'm sitting here in class and my screen started to flicker. And it was really light and I thought I was imagining it. And then it got really bad for a second and lasted for about 10 seconds of flickering. It has stopped and this is the first time it happened.

I bought my MacBook in July of 2008 last year. Like mid-July.

EDIT: Just happened again. D: HELP!

The screen turns off, flickering? Or it dims, flickering? If the latter, did you turn off the ambient light sensor?

I haven't messed with any of the system settings. And it flickers / meaning it flickers from bright to dark to bright to dark about 100 times a second which is what it seems like to me.

I don't wanna go up to the Apple Store if I don't gotta. I am after all trying to get a job there. 🙄 But I'm gonna be a specialist. And slowly see if I can become a Genius. So I try my best to solve my issues on my own.
