How much can a macbook handle in terms of displays, i used to think that it could do any but then i heard a 30 inch display would completey fry it...so i'm wondering how much do u think it could handle...i wanna get an apple 23 inch display when they get updated

Reportedly the MacBook supports both the 20" and the 23" HD ACD's, however it does not have the available video processing power to run the 30" HD ACD. I regularly run a 19" 1280x1024 monitor off of my 2.4GHz BlackBook without any problems whatsoever.

However, due to the fact that the machines graphics processor is not as powerful as that of the MacBook Pro, not does it have access to onboard memory, I wouldn't be surprised if the MacBook began to struggle displaying an image at full resolution on the 23" HD ACD.

well i think i will get a 23 inch display cuz i plan to upgrade to the pro from the blackbook in about a year
