I have a white 2.0 ghz macbook and im looking to upgrade my dinky 60gb harddrive to a larger one. Thing is though I have no idea where to look or what to buy. Is the macbook harddrive a SATA or ATA. And what brand is good? Can anyone give me the specs for a macbook harddrive and maybe point me in the right direction to look for one?

I found this Hard Drive at newegg. Can anyone tell me would this work with my macbook if I bought this?

You need a HD that is 2.5" Sata drive. The only thing you have to be careful about is the width. 12.5mm won't fit. They have to be a 9.5mm drive.

I would get the Hitachi one from macsales (OWC). They're a reputable dealer and their products are guaranteed to work with your macs. Like another poster mentioned, see if you can upgrade to the 7200rpm 200gb one. If you're gonna upgrade, go big 
. Saves you the trouble of upgrading again down the line should you run out of space.

Both Newegg and OWC are reputable retailers (I only have experience with Newegg - and they are just awesome, but OWC gets universally great feedback) and both of those drives will be fine -- take a look at this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148184 - it's the equivalent of the Hitachi drive at OWC but about $8 less and Seagate has a 5 year warranty (best in the business) - Hitachi's is 3 and the Toshiba OEM is only 1 year (I just had to RMA a 4 month old drive myself so those things do become important).
