So thanks to Apple's ridiculous pricing structure my M7 MB has likely just gone up in value and may even be worth more than I paid for it as I received an initial 15% discount!!

Crazy!!

Now onto the question that is being debated the world over: Should I sell it and get the base 13" MBP?

are you guys willing to give up form factor for a slighter bigger screen and better performance?

i guess thats the main thing to consider,

Just pulled the trigger & ordered a MB with M7. I don't use peripherals & the footprint & weight of the MB is right up my alley. I have a 2013 MBA 13" that I'm keeping for now.

Bro your MacBook has not appreciated when you yourself said you bought it for 15% off. In fact If anything it's depreciated quite a bit .

ebay prices in uk are creeping up

I been looking for older but good macbook to replace mine but the prices keep climbing.

even 2009/2010 A1342 (my current macbook) are selling over £200.
If lucky get one less than that but very hard find one (probably because they run sierra)

I would like a new model about 2013/2014 but just cannot afford one.

Explain your maths please?

With a student discount I paid £1200 for the M7 brand new from apple in May 2016. In that price 3 year Apple care was included.

Current brand new value is £1684.

Unlikely to have depreciated below my purchased price particularly in 5-6 months.
