MacBook headphone jack - no vocals

for the last couple of weeks while listening to music through headphones on my aluminum macbook ive noticed that there has been a decline in the quality and the vocals are extremely quiet and soft, you can barely hear them.

i have tried with different pairs of headphones aswell as my logitech speakers and the problem is still happening.

i had a bit of a google and i tried cleaning the port with a paperclip but no success 🙁

any ideas on how to could fix the issue?
