    Hello,

I just purchased an HP 25" monitor to attach to my MacBook for better viewing. I noticed that after an hour or two of use that my MacBook's keyboard got hot on the side near the cable. Is this safe for my MacBook? Is there a way to solve this problem e.g. with a different cable?

    Thanks for your help.

It's normal for macbooks to get hot there, that's where the cpu (and gpu?) is located.

it probably put more strain on your gpu to run a 25" at (im assuming) 1920x1200

Powering two displays takes more processing power, so your computer will get hotter.
