Macbook/iBook AppleCare Protection Plan compatible with uMB?

Hey,

So I recently purchased an AppleCare Protection Plan from eBay, genuine item, boxed, sealed etc. however, I was wondering if this protection plan is compatible with my Macbook 2.0GHz, late 2008 model? 😕

Yeh, I thought this. But someone over at the Apple Support Forums insisted that the iBook protection plans are that old, that it may be incompatible.
