I'm using my new Macbook predominantly in clamshell mode hooked into a Dell Widescreen Monitor (which looks amazing by the way!) ....

Anyone aware of any issues with using a notebook in this configuration most of the time ? Overheating ?? ..... or am I just being paranoid

I don't own one, but I have heard a few things. From what ive read its worth getting something to put between the screen and the keyboard. A one of those mats or something, bar that all is good.

i havent heard any complaints so far, if there was a problem this place would probably be flooded with threads like "clmashell mode melted my macbook"

Jut make sure the machine is well ventilated (flat surface) and it'll be fine. OSX should put the machine to sleep if it starts overheating. :)

yeah, it was made to run in this mode. Shouldn't be a problem. Though how ever will you use the iSight?!?!?
