L lazygregg macrumors member Original poster Dec 21, 2007 #1 i just bought a new macbook. i took out the ram and out in 4gb and the 80gb and put in a 250 gb drive. when trying to install leopard i get to the point where it asks where i'd like to install leopard and theres nothing to select..help pls

swiftaw macrumors 603 Dec 21, 2007 #2 I think the disk has to be formatted first. I believe you need to run Disk Utility from the CD to format the HD, then you can install Leopard on it.
