My macbook intro chime has over time appeared to become not as loud, even though my volume level has remained the same.
Does anyone know why this is? Or is this something I should be even worried about?
Thanks in advance.

Thats because you lowered the volume...try adjusting the volume and you will be able to hear a louder chime :)

Did this happen after a system update? The last two updates have mucked around with the system volume, so even if graphically the volume is the same, it may not actually be the same volume (thus, the start up bong is lower).

is this what you have experienced after you updated it to version 10.4.10?
