My Macbook keeps asking me to login to iCloud. It sends a notification to my iPhone asking if I approve the device to login. When I select accept, it gives me a six digit code and asks that I enter it with the password on the Macbook. Unfortunately, when I enter it on the Macbook, it asks me to enter the password again. This happens in perpetuity.

2FA (2-factor authentication) strikes again! I had a similar problem. The above suggestion should work.
