Macbook Keyboard goes to sleep?

Hi, I was wondering if this is normal. It seems like my keyboard goes to sleep after a short time of it not being used. So after this time if I am typing say macrumors, it only types acrumors, it seems as if the first key wakes up the keyboard and then everything is normal again.

I have a macbook 2.4ghz with all new updates applied.
