Hey everyone,
I have a Macbook 2,1, which I recently bought on eBay. Seemingly out of nowhere some of the keys on the built-in keyboard stopped working. The affected keys are: volume up, down, mute, power, all the brightness keys, and the power button. I've tried rebooting and repairing permissions. Also, when I go to system prefrences under sound and keyboard it freezes up. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Reinstall OSX. If that doesn't work, well, now you know why you got such a good price on it.

I had this problem with my 2006 macbook. The only way I could fix it was by buying a whole new keyboard for it.
