Hello to all,

Got question on this good oldie macbook me and also my girl has..

Now i saw we got different SMC Versions - which of the ones is the "better" one - and is one of them important for upgrading to 8gb ram??

Which do you have on yours?

I don't believe either matters for the RAM upgrade, but usually these firmware updates have bug fixes and such, so if you can try running software update to pull down the latest version.
 
Softwareupdate is always up to date...

I tried on both machines to download that "different" smc update - but it always wont install, telling me i dont need that on my machine...


I just dont understand why we have different ones on the same macbook😕
