At low brightness levels (1-5 brightness bars on the on-screen HUD), the backlight on my C2D Macbook's LCD appears to flicker intermittently. It's like the screen jumps to a high brightness level for split seconds at a time in "spasms" lasting maybe 5-10 seconds. This happens without apparentl immediate cause and doesn't always happen (i.e., it doesn't constantly happen or happen every time I drop the brightness).
Is this something that is a known issue? Is it likely that Apple will even address it since I don't know exactly how to reproduce it and don't know precisely what's directly causing it?
