I just broke down and ordered a 12" Macbook and have been looking for a messenger bag that is slim yet has enough room for Macbook, iPad, chargers, USB Hub, and a few other items. Most I have found are bulky, does anyone have any good recommendations for bags for the Macbook and iPad?

I am currently leaning towards the Brenthaven New Collins Courier Bag or the Booq MCR11-GRY, but welcome other suggestions.

Thanks!

If you want something slim, you could try the Brenthaven Vertical Messenger Bag. They sell this at my local Microsoft store, so if you have one nearby, you could try it out. I almost got it, but I ended up with a super-slim Hynes Eagle backpack from Amazon, which houses my 12" MacBook, my 9.7" iPad Pro, and a few accessories including the charger and a USB mouse.

Check out the Staad Attache from WaterField designs. Their stuff is a bit pricey but it's quality is insane. I bought one and it is absolutely spectacular.

Except they are liars and have horrible customer service. I have ordered 3 bags from them in the past but will not ever again.

I had dog damage to a Vertigo bag (I guess their products are tasty as well) and sent photos of the damage asking how much to fix it. They replied that they would do it for free, so I spent $10 to ship it to them. Received an email response saying that they didn't have the material to fix it, and they offered a discount on a new bag.

Ah! The old bait and switch. Just told them to ship my bag back to me. Repeated attempts to get an email response about this situation have gone unanswered. Way to burn a longtime customer.

Looking at STM for my next bag.

I use this one for casual stuff. Got it at the Star Wars Celebration convention last year. It's from thinkgeek.com and easily holds my MacBook, iPad Pro 9.7 and a few accessories a paper notebook and pens no problem.

And this is for my more "business-ish" stuff. It holds less but is supremely well made. I've had no issue with Waterfield sfbags.com customer service and would recommend them. I have the black leather with green accents 11" size. I've had it for over three years when I owned an 11" Air. It fits the 12" MacBook with no problem. It can hold the MacBook and my iPad Pro 9.7 and a few pens. though not a lot of room for chargers--it will do it but its tight.

This. They are pricey, but great bags. I have the bolt briefcase and dash sleeve. They both look great!
