I would like to be able to hook up my macbook to a vga projector, but, being an idiot, didn't order one from the apple store when I bought my macbook.

Where's the best place to get a mini dvi to vga converter?

Well, an Apple Store obviously. CompUSA might carry them.

Apple's list price is US$19...or about CD$21.60. But yes, Apple's list price in Canada is CD$30.

Edit: Actually it looks like they've dropped the Canadian price to CD$25.

Are they're any alternatives?

The reviews on apple's website say they don't last very long. Is that true?

I've used mine many times with my iBook and never had a problem with it.

10 unhappy people speak much louder than a few thousand happy people. I have sold many with out complaints. Trust me with the way I run my shop my customers come to me when there is a problem. Also remember who backs the product. They will take care of it for you.
