Macbook Noise When Burning

my macbook's started making this real loud whirring noise like a vacum cleaner or sumthin every few times i go to burn a disc, i know theres alot of threads already on the mac's makin wierd noises but this is only when i go to burn something and it still burns just sounds wrong!
anyone had this problem, remedies...

It's the optical drive.

As Eidorian pointed out, its either the optical drive doing its job, or the thermal fans that are running at a high RPM.

Unless the noise is really out of the ordinary/ really loud/ weird, I would not worry about it.

Even at 5000 RPM the MacBook fan isn't terribly loud.

If yours sounds like that then call Apple or take it to an Apple store. That kind of noise isn't normal.
