Macbook on its way, one question so far

Hi!

My Macbook is finally on its way home 🙄 Can't wait.

I know some laptop users that take the batery off when they are using the computer plugged for some days. Should I do the same?

I dont see why you would do that.

Ive been using my G4 PB some 6h a day, plugged in, for about 2 yrs - works just fine and my battery still gives me a healty 3 houres.

I never do it, but i see why people would. The macbook gets very hot and removing the battery will cool it down.

i don't take the battery out, but i do take out the charger and let the battery drain every month or so.

Don't do it, if you accidentally unplugged your power adaptor (it happens often, magsafe) you'll lose all of your work.

i always keep my battery in while it's plugged.

Good point.

Thanks everybody for your opinions. I think I will leave the batery inside the macbook while plugged.
