I don't get this, I got my 2.16 MacBook for 1,285 + tax. This is including 2GB ram from newegg.com

That is a little more then a couple of hundred bucks.

Actually I upgraded the RAM and the HDD(160 GB) and it comes out to 1629+tax...which is around 1870 or so!

ENOUGH SAID!!! The above was taken from a review of the Dell XPS m1330 notebook.

MacBook Rules!!!!

Link please?:D

EDIT: Ignore the post please:p

Um... let's take a closer look at the numbers: they're comparing a 2.16Ghz Core 2 Duo MacBook with a 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo Dell - not exactly running the same numbers

Just based on the rated Ghz above, it's a 8% difference...
Let's just look at the first test, the multimedia multitask. It took the Dell 1017 seconds; the MacBook 963 seconds. What if the Dell had a 2.16Ghz Core 2 Duo? Adjusted at 8% faster, it would theoretically complete that test in 1017*.92=935 seconds... faster or at least comparable to the MacBook.

The MacBook does beat the Dell on the iTunes encoding test but I don't know if they're using iTunes Mac OS X or iTunes Windows version on the MacBook.

So no, I wouldn't say the MacBook "rules" :p
Again... it depends on your needs.

Why the hell are you upgrading from apple. You spend 160 for 2 GB RAM while you can go to newegg.com get a 2 GB G.Skill setup for 80 bucks. Also the harddrive is a easy install now aswell. Save a lot of money do that too.
