MacBook or Macbook Pro?

I have around £1,000 to spend on a laptop.

I have a 500gb external hard drive.

Should I go for the £799 MacBook with 4gb of RAM and a larger hard drive, or a £899 MacBook Pro with 4gb of RAM??

This will be my first Mac since the mid 1990's 🙂

MacBook Pro, indeed, because the polycarbonate encasing is a very poor quality, as many over-a-year owners state.

Definitely go for the MBP if you can afford it.
