macbook plug adapter for the UK

I have macbook from US and taking it to UK.

I just bought an adapter for the wall for US two prongs into the UK 3 prongs.

Should it be another specialised plug or will this work fine?

Should be fine. I use mine in Europe through a converter plug, but also used it in the US the same way.
