trying to fix a friends macbook... the power icon shows the power adapter is plugged in and not charging but its not plugged in and running on battery power...

tried removing the icon..doesnt work
coconut battery also reports the laptop as plugged in...

any ideas?

Tried to Remove the adapter and the battery and press and hold power button for 10 seconds . and then turn on only with the adapter and check .

--If the same

--Try to check the Cycle Count and ful charge Capacity of the battery.
--Try to calibrate the battery .
