Hi, i am new here and new on using the apple gadgets and notebooks.

I would like to say that this is the most amazing company.. I love apple and from now on i am never ever going to change my mind about this again, it is simply cool!!

I would like to as you some questions since i am new and i am sure that everyone here that has some apple knowledge can help me out.

Primarily and my most important question is, is it safe to power and charge the macbook pro at the same time. On windows PCS as dell and so (remember that they have a different type of battery installed) it is not recommended since the battery lifetime will be decreased drastically... is this the same situation in apple notebooks?

Secondly can anyone point me to a thread or an instruction page that best describes how to make the best energy saving settings on a macbook pro?

Thanks and Regards

1. Yes, it is fine to use your computer while it's charging. I never understand why people ask this.

2. Trying to extend battery life is folly. Batteries are replaceable parts and will die eventually. Use your computer how you want to and don't bother trying to extend it; it's always more trouble than it's worth. If you feel that your battery is not holding as much charge as you think it should, Apple is very generous about replacing it under warranty.

Thanks very much... Yes thats the best way to do it... Use it as it pleases you... A battery is replaceable and so i do what ever i want!

Thanks & Regards
