hi

I have this strange problem.

I have the setting under "Energy saver preferences" - to slightly dim the display.. checked.

The problem: If my macbook is shut down while plugged in, and when I boot my macbook while in battery mode, the above setting does not work. I have to go uncheck and check the setting back again for the display to dim.

This is quite annoying and this eats up my battery faster, obviously.

I think this is a bug in snow leopard.

Any solutions? suggestions?

thanks

I'd first try a SMC reset. If that does not work, try removing the Energy Saver preferance file from this location: Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.energysaver.plist
