Nope.

Look at the specs, that macbook is an older version, made apparent by the Intel graphics.

Still... not a bad deal if you're not gaming or anything graphic intensive.

Do you know how long ago they upgraded away from the intel graphics ?

I know these 2 have dropped $50 since last night...

It just seemed odd that there have not been any for less then $849 in months and just days before the conference there are "less expensive" versions available.

Nothing new, Apple is trying to clear inventory up. Not because of new models, but because at times they can reach a high inventory level, and having such high inventory can become costly. So they'd rather sell those a tad cheaper just to clear everything out.

those are great deals at 699, 899 and 999 if you're in the market for one and aren't a power user.

I have a refurb Macbook Air rev A and it looks brand new. No marks at all. What is an Apple refurb? Previously owned systems that have been returned? What does Apple do to them to get them looking so nice? The thing looks like it hadn't ever been touched before I got it.

They upgraded the graphics when they introduced the Alu MBs. So not terribly long ago, but long enough to see an appreciable difference. Still, if your gf just needs a day to day computer and doesn't plan on playing video games on using FCP etc... then that's a really good deal for a Macbook.

Excellent... thank you for the info I feel much better now as it is day to day computer for her and she plays no games.
The model she got was $749 as it has the super drive and 2.0 GHz & 2GB of memory.
It did drop since yesterday from 849 down to 749 today so all is wonderful in the house as I will get to use my 12" PowerBook G4 again ;-) It has been on almost 5 years straight now and runs as strong as ever. I only shut it down when we go on vacation and when I changed the HD about a year ago.

Ohhhh and she will get it before the weekend !
