i have had my macbook pro for about 3 days and the battery has been great. I was wondering if i should leave the pro on the charger or if i should take it off when charged and drain the battery and recharge.
 
Don't worry about it. Calibrate it every month or so and regardless of what you do it should maintain good health.
 
Look on Apple's website and in the owners manual for the most correct answer, but generally keeping it plugged in is better for it, since that way you are not constantly "cycling" the battery, which wears it down quicker. That being said, I have also heard that you should cycle it at least once a month, so don't leave it plugged in constantly...
