What's the difference between the 2012 display assembly and the 2011? I currently have a 2011 I've been using for parts with a working screen. I also have a 2012 with cracked glass. Can I use the 2011 assembly on the 2012?

Like Intell said, the 2012 MBP was only a minor update from the 2011. The two models are largely identical.

Camera connector is slightly different and display connector is different. All of the other parts are interchangeable. I know because I converted a 2011 display to a 2012 display by swapping the camera and cable and display cable from the 2012 display with a snapped off hinge mount into a 2011 display assembly I had. If the only issue with the 2012 display is the glass it'll be easier to just replace that. You can swap the glass if you are VERY careful. I had no issues getting the glass to re-stick with hot air.

Hmm, alright, i'll order a new glass then. Thanks!
