Hi, my MacBook Pro 13 Inch from 2015 (base model) is simply too slow for web development (php programming) these days. I also use a lot of Chrome tabs, SFTP client, Version Control GUI, Terminal, etc. all at once. Will the M1 MacBook Pro be a huge upgrade in terms of performance?

My secondary concern is that I hate how thick the bezels are on the MacBook Pro 13 Inch from 2015. The device feels a bit too heavy as well. Does the new M1 MacBook Pro 13 Inch have thinner bezels and is it thinner/lighter?

Let me know! Appreciate it.

I had (and still have) a MBP 13“ early 2015. The M1 Mac mini I got is indeed a huge performance upgrade. Take 16 GB RAM.
Can‘t say anything on look & weight of the current M1 MBP.
