Macbook Pro 13" Mid 2012 Keeps Freezing

Hey,

I have just finished doing a clean install of mountain lion on my new Macbook Pro 13" Mid-2012 (2.9 i7, 8gb ram, 750gb HHD). Before I did the clean install it was running Lion and i noticed it was a little slow and froze up a bit, but only for a short amount of time.

After the clean install I cant even put 200 songs off my external hard drive into itunes without it completely freezing up and having to force quit iTunes.😡 I cant believe I just spent $1700 on this mac and it is having these major issues.

Can anyone shed some light on what the hell is going on 😕

Are you only having issues when pulling media from the external HDD? If so, could be the external.

Are you getting freezing while doing other things WITHOUT the external?

Replacing it.

Nah, its not just when copying to/from the external HDD. I just called apple and they have given me a case number to get a replacement 😀
