Hi,

Recently my Macbook Pro 13 (A7106) screen started to display really bad resolution, slightly blurry and dotty.

I cant see any options to adjust resolution in the display settings. See below.

Would anyone have any guidance here? Given its an old enough laptop, could this be indictative of a fault in the laptop itself, or likely something more at a software level? Hopefully its the latter :)

Ive just upgraded to Ventura to see if that improved things, and it hasnt :(

The option you selected is the full resolution. If you really just want to see the resolutions, click Advanced, and then select the option to list the actual resolution.

The default on 2016-2020 MBPs is a bit blurry. You can select the resolution one step closer to "Larger text" to make it sharp, but you get less space.
