    Hi,

I want to buy an external monitor (27 inch) to hook it up with my Macbook Pro Early 2011. My Macbook Pro specs are: Core i5, 8 GB RAM, 120 GB Intel SSD.

Is it possible to experience lags or slowdows when my macbook will output on the monitor (full hd) ?

    Thanks

Depends on what monitor you buy.

There might be lag on the monitor buy not on your MBP.

You should be fine if you are just pushing the display, but if you try to anything GPU intensive you will run into some lag issues.
