Macbook pro 13 won't run on battery help.

I have a June 2009 MBP 13 that had a liquid spill. After cleanup it runs fine on AC but won't run on battery power.

On AC it with charge the battery correctly and the battery indicator led's on the side show full.

On battery power only the battery indicator led's on the side do not light.

If I remove the AC while running with charged battery installed it will die.

There is voltage to the logic board connector as well as other points on the board on only battery power however it won't run.

Any tech ideas would be appreciated.

This is a very similar thread to the one below coincidentally on the main page. They're trying to solve that issue right now; you might want to try posting this question in the same thread. There's been quite a bit of activity in it.

It's similar. The other OP did an EFI test and is close to the root cause. He might be able to help you isolate the problem.

I'll keep an eye on that other thread for any useful information.

In the meantime if anyone had an explanation of the circuit path or a diagram of how the battery power actually powers the system that would be helpful.
