macbook pro 14" battery health dropped to 99% after 1 month of use

and the battery cycle is only 18

I sent the device to apple warranty because I felt certain problems. I don't know my battery health went down when it arrived, but why did it drop so soon?

The number is just a best-effort guess about a chemical process isn't it? Wouldn't be surprised if it had a margin of error well over 1%

It’s not some guess made by alchemists, capacity can be read in mAh.
From Terminal:
Code:
ioreg -w0 -l | grep '"DesignCapacity" ='
ioreg -w0 -l | grep "NominalChargeCapacity"
ioreg -w0 -l | grep "AppleRawCurrentCapacity"
ioreg -w0 -l | grep "AppleRawMaxCapacity"

with Battery Health 2 https://fiplab.com/apps/battery-health-for-mac
coconutBattery 3 https://coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/ and others.

did Monterey restore the 1%?
🤓
No, of course not. But at least it stopped further degradation caused by abnormal power usage. With the same general usage, the battery life in Ventura was about half, if not less, than in Monterey.

Wow, just when i was starting to think that the abnormal power usage of Ventura might not a thing anymore! 😱

My experience was with Ventura 13.0. I don’t know if the problem was solved and I’m not going to check soon.
