Hey everyone.

I have a 14” MacBook Pro. I have noticed my screen has small chips in it (see photo). I am careful with the device and usually will wipe the keyboard before closing the screen. I also put a micro fibre cloth on the keys when closing (although this is a new tactic to try manage the screen chips). They seem to be getting worse but I have no idea how to stop them. Any advice would be great!

yeah this seems super common, it's caused by dirt between keyboard and lcd as the gap between them is very small when the laptop is closed. Even dirt as small as little specks can cause this when they are hard enough. Also, the glass on the macbook is very thin and fragile, more than iphone or ipad glass, as well as the thin antireflective coating. You can try RMAing it, maybe yours is more prone to it, but I've see many of those and the least they have is a light imprint of the keybaord on the screen after some months of use.

Yeah I’ve seen the keys causing that on other macs too. Especially just eating away at the anti glare.

What is RMAing?
