I have tried to find a comparison between the screen on an iPad Pro 12.9” and the 14” MacBook Pro. Both have XDR displays with ProMotion but I wondered whether one was better than the other for watching video (aside from the size). A few YouTubers said the MacBook Pro screen was better but didn’t say why - I suspect it might have less blooming. Has anyone got both and can confirm which is better or if they are pretty much the same? Thanks.

Look at the reviews on the Notebookcheck website. Letterboxing is terrible on the 12.9” so for that reason alone is not the best option.
The primary reason the 2021 MacBook Pro's screen is superior to the 12.9" iPad Pro is specifically the blooming.
