What happened today? No crash?
[doublepost=1517103432][/doublepost]Is there any confirmation if the issue has been resolved in the 2017 MacBook Pro?

no crashes yet....

been on 9-midnight since the re install and off at night, did have one screen not come on there on the turn on so just unplugged it and plugged it back in and its all working....

That means there is hope the 2017 model doesn't have the problem

So much negativity. Using external displays isn't really a common use-case. You can't complain when you want to do a weird thing and it doesn't work flawlessly.

Ah... Next time use /s

Has this started happening to anyone else again since upgrading to 10.14.1? I had the same issues with my 15" 2016 MBP connected to an LG 5k display and it stopped happening after one release of High Sierra (around 10.13.3, I think).

I've gotten crashes the past 2 mornings after my computer goes to sleep at night while connected to the monitor. I'm wondering if whatever bug they fixed has been reintroduced...

I had exactly this with a MBP 2016 and a LG 5K display. I opened a case back in early 2017 and reopened it a couple of days as it started happening again after the upgrade to 10.14.1.
Apple said I am one of the ultra rare customers having this issue and if I had tried to power the machine via the MBP power adapter instead of via the USB-C cable connected to the LG display.
I tried this and had no crashes. To proof it, I disconnected the power adaper and it crashed the next day.

It's a fix, though I am missing one of the USB-C ports since now.
