Hi,
I am not doing anything on my brand new MacBook Pro 15" 2017 and I can hear the fans. Especially in comparison to my 2014 model on which I cannot hear the fans at all. Is it normal that the fans are always running at audible speed at around 2000rpm? This is rather annoying.

I believe 2000 rpm is normal in that the fans always run. The fan being audible is not normal unless you have you ear very near the machine.

Yes they are noticable if you're in a completely silent room. It's not just my machine because the one I have from work (also a 2017 15") which is having the same.

I can hear my 15" 2016's fans when they are at 2k RPM, especially when the right one started sounding like it's obstructed or has a bad bearing.

Once again I'll be taking this pile to the Apple Store to be fixed.
