Hello here, I have MacBook Pro 15 2018 i7 2.6/32gb/560x, and everything seems to be good except battery life.
Today it was fully charged at around 11:30am, now it's 3:30 pm and it's 50%, and only i was using is safari, firefox, spotify.
I was using MacBook Pro 13 2013 late, and after 5 years with battery over 1700 cycles few weeks ago was about same as I'm having here now, I just wondering is it normal?
I know that it's quite powerful and screen brightness is about 70-95% all time, but it's because the screen is too dark on 50%.

Monitor whether using integrated or high performance GPU in activity monitor, this will be the biggest factor on lower than expected battery life after screen brightness ( all quotes of 10 hours > will be assuming integrated only ) it would expect near full brightness to knock an hour or two off.

If you were watching media on Safari/Firefox it almost certainly would have ramped the dGPUs and used more battery as a result.

Still, full brightness on a 15" Retina laptop with a hex-core i7, 32GB RAM, 4GB VRAM, and to get 4 hours out of it already really isn't bad at all. That sounds about right to me - 8 hours with that usage.

I recently got my replacement unit and noticed the same thing, although I feel like my battery is actually worse than what you described in your post and DEFINITELY worse than my previous 2018 MBP with the same configuration. Weird thing is that when I received the device, the design capacity was at 94% and eventually it reached all the way up to around a 100% again (guessing it was calibrated once I started using it but still found it odd). This is really frustrating because I was hoping the new machine is gonna be without any issues (in my case a new one) and I'm tired of dealing with Apple's customer service even though they are doing their best to help.

So I was wondering, what ended up happening with your device?
And any tips on how I should deal with this is appreciated.

P.S. My device: i7 (2.6), 32GB ram, 560X graphics

I have the same spec and the battery is terrible as well. It lasts around four hours with very light use and display around 60% brightness. It also runs hot under this usage. It doesn't bother me too much as my MBP stays near a charger most of the time but can be annoying if I need to take it out.
