So I wanted a new MacBook as my older one is getting up around 5 years...

I got one from the Apple Store that has the 370m... The first one had indents on the corners of both sides on the glass. The second one has the plastic piece that covers the inner hinge peeling, one side of the screen is much brighter, and now that damn thing won't reinstall the OS!

Is this normal now days with Macs? I am getting tired of dealing with it. I really like the Macs and OS X but I am wondering...

No, it's not normal to get two defective units in a row, but I'm not sure what you mean by "indents on the corners of both sides on the glass." Maybe you're just being too picky?

It was like 1" long creases in the glass on each corner like if you take a page in a book to mark it and fold it back. They were not on any of the floor models and the Apple dude said that shouldn't be there.

That's really odd. It isn't normal to get a defective computer, let alone two in a row. The 13" rMBP I picked up last year has been great.
