So, my MacBook Pro 16" that I purchased at the end of December has started having significantly less usage time on the battery over the last few weeks. Now, when I checked battery health today it shows, "service recommended." Showing maximum capacity as 96%.

I've already made an appointment to take it in but, is anyone else seeing an issue with these batteries? Seems odd to have a battery issue with a machine this new.

I believe Apple says to replace the battery when below 80% capacity or at 1000 cycles. 96% would be quite normal. I have 95% on my MBP bought in November.

Are you running BigSur? There seems to be a bug in the beta that says "service recommended" even when that is actually not the case.
