Anybody know if sleeves made for the MBP 15" will fit the 16" version? I am specifically looking at the "Incase ICON Sleeve With TENSAERLITE" (https://www.incase.com/devices/macb...r/icon-sleeve-with-tensaerlite-macbook-pro-15). Can someone who has the case for the MBP 15" comment on how snug it is/how likely the 16" version will fit since they have ever so slightly the same dimensions?

I had the same question, but the 16" the length and the width are significant enough to have me believing that a standard case would not fit

Has anyone found any sleeves for the 16" yet? All I can find is the very expensive Apple leather case.

I just purchased this Incase Icon Sleeve for Retina MBP (avoid any that mention USB-C MacBook) from John Lewis (UK). Lovely sleeve and went with it as it appeared sized for the pre-2016 MacBook design. I don’t have my 16” MBP yet but I took the case to my local store and asked to try it on the demo 16” ers - and it fit perfectly with perhaps a mm of wiggle room but not too loose.
From what I’m seeing any sleeve designed for the retina MBP 15” will in fact be the right size for the new 16”.
When I say retina. This means the version prior to the Touch Bar ;)
This Icon sleeve seems just right to me as the bumper edge means I’ll be happy to run without any hard case and just a matte clear skin on the device.
Hope this helps.

Looks like the older Retina ones are half price. Thats the version I got and it fits :)

I have that exact sleeve - it actually fits fine width wise, but it’s JUST long enough that it doesn’t quite slot in, because it’s got an inner rubber lining shaped for the 15”

You actually can basically get it in but the opening flap won’t really close all the way

Given that they've updated the name of it to say it works with both 15 and 16", it seems like a safe bet that it will work. Generally sleeves like that have some extra room so it makes sense the 16" would still fit fine.
There is a drop down box to choose the size - only options are 16, 13 or 12

My new favorite laptop sleeve EVER

1) It fits my new work and play MBP 16"

2) Clever tiered pocket design. Tiered approach keeps everything from smushing into 1 big bulge at the bottom of the narrow pocket. Full width to maximize space. Not some small weird looking pouch.

3) TOP Handle. This 16" MBP is dense. When I'm pulling it in and out of my backpack, having a handle on top (the narrow end) makes it lots easier

4) High quality workmanship.

5) Like the blue color a lot. Blue for work. Red for play. Most cases are just grey.
The blue would look nice on the table in a work meeting

6) Incredible price for all those features

The heathered dark red color is beautiful too, but the hue will tend to clash with my red fingernail polish.
So that red case goes on the Play laptop where that is less of a concern...

Unfortunately, my Linux system (Thinkpad X1 Extreme) is too big (too wide) for that case above.
The X1 does however fit into this handsome TomToc snugly.
So this size below would definitely fit the 16" MBP since it fits the X1 Extreme.

No way, even the 15 inch barely fits the MBP 15, you have to really push it in with force to get it to fit so forget about the 16 inch

Interesting. Was this for the Icon USB-C one linked article the top or the Retina one I linked? As when I tested it on a 16” MBP in the store it fitted perfectly.
Granted no way it would fit an Icon case designed for the 15” Touch Bar USB C MBP but the older Retina design the 15” and 16” share the same dimensions down to just perhaps a mm difference.
:)

I was responding to the OP asking about the Icon for the 15” MBP with TB3. Not sure what in my reply made it sound like I was talking about the case for a 15” Retina.

Anyone found a good alternative to Incase's Tensaerlite case for their Macbook Pro 16"? I know the 16" size is very close to the pre touchbar 15" from 2015 but it doesn't look like Incase is making them anymore.
