I am planning to buy Macbook Pro 16 inch but heard a rumour about refreshed version of 16 inch Macbook Pro coming soon but not sure if it's true or not.
Do you guys think should I get one now or wait for the refreshed version? What can be the expected time that refreshed MBP 16inch will arrive???
I also heard there is heating problem. Thats why I was planning to wait...

Its possible, though I think the only difference will be a spec bump, i.e., 10th gen cpu. As for the over-heating, I wouldn't expect any change. There's only so much that can be done within such a thin enclosure, and those CPUs and GPUs get hot

At some point every computer model will be replaced. If this one meets your needs now there's no need to wait.

Apple just refreshed the 13’ Macbook Pro. The 16 is unlikely until 2021

Is it really a mistake, the folks who waited now have a 10th Gen CPU and no longer have to contend with the butterfly keyboard.

I'd have a hard time spending 16" MBP money and finding it still has a last gen Coffee Lake CPU's.

I'd imagine the 16" refresh will include the 10th Gen 45W CPU's:

no wifi 6
entry models are 8th gen ASS
no DDR4 unless you pay the big bucks
8gb standard

even the garbage MBA is dabbing on this refresh

I would pick up the 16" as soon as you can, honestly. The 9th-10th gen speed bump isn't that significant, and Apple isn' putting wifi6 on any of their 10th gen Macs. If you need wifi6, then maybe it's a bigger issue, but the 16" is a solid Mac. It's my favorite MacBook Pro since my Core2Duo MacBook Pro from 2009!
